Cornahilt
Contains 169 statute acres all under cultivation. The property of Mrs. Cummings of Dublin. The agent is John Tatlow Esqr. of Crosdony (sic). There is one lease of 31 years and the remainder are for 21 years. The size of farm varies from 5 to 11 acres. Soil is a wettish loam and produces pretty good crops of oats, potatoes and flax. Manure is dung and lime. Co. Cess is 9d. per acre per 1/2 year. There is a very neat cottage-built house, called Cornahilt Lodge, on the right side of the road from Ballyjamesduff to Virginia. It is in very good repair but there is no person residing in it at present. It was built in the year 1821 by John Tatlow Esqr. of Crosdony. On the South East side of Ballyjamesduff is a very neat church built in the year 1833 and it will accommodate 350 persons and on the North East side of the same town is a national school.
